Tao's @ paradiz centre, cute waiter. it's a 7 course dinner. my soup was pumpkin soup n it came in a cute pumpkin-shaped ware. pity the cover was taken away or it will complete the pumpkin look. then the main course was baked atlantic dory with cheese. mmmm. cheesy :) n there's other courses like salad, dessert, grilled mushroom which are not pictured. n lastly, the cute little jug n tea cup u see in the picture is 'summer peach tea'. fruity tea. not too sweet, brewed to perfection, ice cold with chunks of peaches included! sounds gd right. can try it for yourself when u go there.

went to raffles city for lunch after the options paper. recommend this restaurant 'seasons reasons' at basement one. friendly staff, thoughtful service, though cost not really for students.about 16 bucks per pax n this is lunch only.

this cute lil log cake was free! the staff used it as a form of compensation for the lil uncooked chicken thigh(not pictured)
cosy little corner with sofa n plushy cushions.comfy!
now this pic was taken after the last paper on thurs. it is significant as it is the the first time im having salad as a meal! i used to hate veggies but this meal is a big step to achieving a healthier lifestyle.yea. but theres also roast chicken la. so no, im not going vegetarian or anything like that.

i think im going thru my worst phase of my life, that is hoping that my future work life wont be any worse though pple say being a student is better. ok then let me rephrase. im going thru the worst phase of my student life. that is assuming uni life will be better. or can i even get into a uni...ahh u get the idea.
i dun like my sch.i dun like the a level syllabus. i dun like how i cant seem to handle only 3 subs.i cant accept the fact that im becoming stupider n lousier in everything. i used to be first for 2.4.now im last. i used to be first in the whole level. now im almost last too. see the BIG gap there. ego check. but then again. that was in pri sch.wasnt very gd in sec sch either. so wat if im from dhs. so wat if im a 6pointer. the past is history. so wat if i was the top few in pri sch. ever heard of the chinese saying. 'xiao shi liao liao, da wei bi jia' im a perfect example. cant imagine wat i would lun luo to in uni. dunno if i can even survive past this yr. my life is s**king to the core now. bah. or mayb im just pms-ing. quite a memorable day at mrs chua's house. lots of food unfinished and quite a good turnout. 20 to be exact. just 4 absent. so 5/6 of the class was present. there were class-bonding games like 'i never' and zong ji mi ma. which unlucky me kanna once. i havent explain y i said its a small world right. cos at one point, mrs chua's daughter entered. eh seem vaguely familiar. HEY! she's my tt junior in dhs. Wat a small world! and thats not all. it was the number she set that i kanna. n made to do forfeit. suay. after games it was photo-taking time n then pple started leaving n i left at 8 plus. quite a nice saturday.
Oh! and her house was so nice. like those kinda european streets with terraces along it, with a private garage included.so cool. i wouldnt mind to own one of those houses.

no not of my life (choy) but of the world cup. cos u should know by now, (if u dunno, where were u? in the desert?) poor england was outdone by another penalty shootout or rather the portugese gk ricardo, (whom i think is not human, how can he guess all shots correctly? smthg wrong) to be fair, i think they played much better ytd than their previous matches, but apparently its not gd enough. so i didnt carry any hopes of them winning the game anyway after being reduced to 10 men. now that england is out, i have to find another team to support n guess who? it's les bleus. not much of a choice anyway.
meanwhile, just some interesting pics...

Movie+shopping!

watched over the hedge. b4 the movie started, the cinema was filled with kindergarden kids, n i thought, oh no, cos u'd expect them to make a lot of noise throughout the movie. but hey, i was surprised they didnt make much sound.
This movie is cute, well u'd expect it to be since it's for kids n im kinda over-aged to watch this but it's an enjoyable movie nevertheless. well, suprisingly my fave characters aint the main ones. I prefer the 3 little porcupines, the persian cat with his hilarious accent n antics, that hyperactive squirrel and the skunk.

After the movie, it's lunchtime! so i went to this hk restaurant. and this huge mountain of ice n syrup was my dessert. mmmmm...
After filling my stomach, it's shopping time! My 战利品:
Pink Fila shoebag, 3 pairs of super-low-cut ankle socks, nice bright colours eh and lastly, my new orange fashion watch.

after asking 5 pple who said 'sorry got smthg on' or 'sorry im not free tmr', after i thought all hope was lost, clara finally said smthg that was music to my ears, 'yes im free'. n that really lifted my spirits n got me excited.
klunch starts at 11. assuming it takes half hour to reach tm from sch, we have to leave sch by 1030. during bio tut, it was already 1030 n we are still halfway thru qn 3, i flipped my pages, omg qn 4 is sooooo long. cannot make it. started to lose hope again. hey wat do u know, she stopped after qn 3, i dunno y, but nobody asked cos we all wanted to go home.
it was 1050. ok fine so we will lose 20 mins of precious time. me n clara walked to the side gate. locked. walked to the front gate. 38 went pass. clara screamed.Haha. so we crossed the road to take 38 or 12 to tanah merah mrt then. 5 mins passed. still no bus. we looked across.38!!!! great.
1100. 38 finally arrived.
1106. reached tanah merah mrt. saw a train leaving the station
1112.mrt came.
1120.reached tampines.wow.10 mins faster than expected. walked towards spotlight building.went up the escalator.looks spookily deserted. reached the top. saw a sign. 'WE HAVE MOVED'

got pang seh-ed over n over again, must be the recent windy weather that makes it favourable to fly kite huh. (sarcasm intended but not to anyone in particular) i just wanna sing my heart out! but i guess have to wait until next wk.
im proud to announce that i have 2 extra days of hols, 2 days earlier than others. seems like the sch has become a jail these 2 days huh. wats up with the extra fierce guards man, THREE! according to wanteng, like wats the sch prob, depriving us (or them rather) of our freedom esp on the last day of the term, they seriously ought to do some self-reflection.
luckily i have nothing on n i dun need to go to sch, cant imagine rotting away for...8 to 4....8 hours! wat a waste of time n my youth. my time is better spent slping n repairing my worn-out cells n catching up on my beauty slp.
Hooked onto a new online game, no its not maple, seriously NOT maple. (oops no offence to maplers) shall reveal the name when i feel like it. erm ok la it starts with the letter 'P'. any guesses?

this is the real thing. Haha. received an overwhelming (well,almost) response regarding my previous post.
anyway, while everyone went home to mug for maths test, i went gallivanting n watched this movie, not mugging, sigh. a bit guilty esp after taking today's test, i learnt my lesson.
anyway again, back to the movie, after reading so many rave reviews in the media, newspapers, magazines etc, couldnt wait to watch it. (although even if they said it was lousy, i would still watch it la). wont reveal too much details here for the benefit of those who haven't watched, just wanna say that tom cruise was as charming as ever, (i love his smile =D) too bad he's taken :p
the guns were cool, their gadgets were cooler, that disposable camera totally blew me away, it's cool how they can put the iris-scanner n stuff inside, Cool. And the most heart-breaking moment for me, is when they blew this up...

everyone together now, SIGH, they blew this beauty up, wheels and all. Wat A Pity. anyway again, in this movie, u get to see The Vatican, shanghai, both the city n the rural parts, and many other places i've nv seen b4, quite an eye-opener.
In conclusion, (eh gp essay ah,lol) go watch this movie now, yes, right now, immediately, u dun wanna miss it. really, seriously, Haha.

刚过的星期天, 新加坡博览中心第8厅出现了5千名热情的粉丝,为的是要出席JJ林俊杰新加坡演唱会的前奏,JJ Party.以第4张专辑的首播主打歌'曹曹'作为开场歌曲的 JJ,在台上首次将新舞蹈在狮城曝光.

表演完了劲歌,把节奏放慢,送上了中国RnB的歌曲'熟能生巧'. JJ透过他感情丰富的歌声把粉丝们的心给融化了.

观众席当中坐着JJ的好兄弟,洪俊扬. 他在台上透露即将在5,6月面市的新专辑将收录几份JJ的作品,歌曲也将由JJ编曲与制作.看得出他们俩真的是兄弟情深.
在party上,JJ不只展现了他音乐方面的才华,也展现了他在绘画方面的天分.看他聚精会神在画画的样子..

believe it or not, i lied when i told u i started studying for chem on mon or b4, bcos the truth is, i started only on the first period today, 3 periods b4 chem test, and so i pia-ed from alkenes to stereochem (almost 200 pages) in 3 periods. and i learnt my lesson bcos i totally screwed up this test. I was so bored bcos i had totally NO idea wat the answers were until i fell asleep during a test, can u believe it. If i get 8/32 or 25%, i can probably organise a party to celebrate, it was THAT bad.

i really dun understand wat the sch is trying to do. y set the tests until so difficult n let everyone fail, no point right. very nice to see a big fat F on our result slips is it. no logic AT ALL. bio test tmr better be loads better or i can just quit school. I see no point in studying when i keep failing my tests...

Lunch at airport

(this post is a little late but nvm)

last sun, met up with clar, jas n daf for lunch at airport. the 2 ladies were more than half an hour late, n i was stoning there waiting while clar was mugging for chem!
then went off to fish n co, ordered n ate. didnt really talk much while the others were like chatting happily, partly cos i was more preoccupied with filling my empty stomach. Had a free pan of fries too cos they served clar with rice when she ordered fries. Was completely stuffed after wiping out my sambal grilled fish n one third of that pan of fries. And then this daf dragged clar off, acting mysteriously...
then a while later, the whole crew of fish n co surrounded our table, gave me a complimentary ice cream (from ben n jerry's if im not wrong) and a red fish plushie, and sang this bday rap-cum-song thingy, that was totally loud n AA. But they were really nice n enthu n friendly, yea.

i take back the words i said on fri, other than jas, clar n daf, many others rmb my bday, haha. but im quite happy now, not only bcos many sent me sms bday wishes, but i just had a surprise party (which wasnt really a surprise cos clever me discovered the extra food in the fridge, the extra ice in the freezer n all the other signs u'll see b4 a party ytd). And it was quite 热闹 cos some pple i didnt expect to come came. the last time i had a bday party was when i was 12, omg, 6 yrs ago! so fast.
for presents, theres smthg i gotta complain about. it's the exorbitant prices apple is charging for their products! one piece of string n headphones (a nicer name would be lanyard headphones) cost $68 n the radio remote is $88! waa, i would nv nv nv nv nv times infinity in the right mind go n buy those even if i just struck lottery. but since they have already been bought, i have to use if not i will go against my conscience.

Went to their autograph session n got this signed...(click for a larger image)
Waited quite long, considering they aren't really that da4 pai2, well their excuse is the traffic jam, but anyway my aim of going is not really to see them... I was already shivering to death in the freezing cinema, almost reaching my body's freezing point to becoming ice...lol. Finally, they arrived, talked a little, sang the css theme song 'By Now' and started the signing of posters and cover pages. ooh almost forget to mention that i received quite a number of freebies too! ahaha, i love freebies, who doesn't? got 2 notebooks, a couple of products from nivea, pens, hp chain and 2 free tics to the premiere of 'Typhoon' ! premiere leh, dun play play.

yup so i just came back from the movie, its nc16 so they didnt cut out the gory scenes, full of blood n gore, but especially memorable to me was the scene where the long lost bro n sis met each other for the first time after 20 yrs, u can see the emotions building up inside, tears welling up in the eyes, u can feel their sorrow of being separated from ur only living kin, but yet the happiness of being reunited. awwwww. almost cried. that scene was really really gd. also worth mentioning was, the 2 male leads were quite an eye-candy.haha. i rate it 4 outta 5 stars! it's out in cinemas islandwide 30 march 2006.

Went to kbox on fri! but i felt a bit cheated, cos the time slot was from 2-7pm but bluff pple one, they only let us sing until 5, n had to pay 9.60++ which in the end added up to about 15 bux, for 3 hours, so bo hua, klunch is so much more worth it, if not for the stupid chem makeup lecture in the morning, i would have gone for klunch. But on a side note, the room was super big, almost the size of 3 or 4 small rooms, wahaha n had one normal size tv n one large screen lcd tv, and this small little stage where u can sing on n pretend to be a star, perfect for star-wannabes (like me). but the room was also freezing cold, almost at sub-zero temperatures, sang until i could feel my jaw trembling. At that moment, i thought i was at the south pole. k, not funny. Then after that i went to where all the aunties n ah mas were congregating, the food fair, n felt so young, haha.

then on saturday, met my dearest clar :) for lunch n shopping! and bought the 2 bracelets below!
nice right, u know i have such a small wrist it's really hard to find hand accessories that look gd on me, be it bracelets or watches. But luckily my accessories advisor, clar, was there with me n decided that these 2 bracelets were the nicest :) so didnt go home empty-handed. yay. (if only i can wear them to sch)

2 things to rant about today. first, wats up with all my teachers, dunno if they are picking on me or especially caring to me. hopefully it's the latter. i didnt fall asleep, i didnt even rest my head on the table. just a simple action of resting my head slightly on one hand earned me another 'lecture' from another teacher.
wonderful, me again.

then at night, someone hung up on me la. wats the worst thing that can happen when u r making a call? that is when someone hangs up on u isnt it. n u may say, then just call again la. ya but this is not ur usual telephone line. i was waiting in anticipation for this special person to pick up the phone, n never in my wildest dreams did i expect the line to go dead. wonderful. someone going holiday then dao me la. u win liao lor.

but amidst all the unhappiness, there's a silver lining! i dreamt of someone special, a dream that felt like reality, a dream that i wish i would nv wake up from. (sounds weird but nvm) ya u must be thinking 'quick say leh, talk so much'. okok i dream of yanzi la. jealous leh. haha. i dreamt i was chatting happily with her, but sadly i dun rmb the contents le, but zhong dian is i dreamt of a superstar! how often do u get to dream of a superstar, not just a normal superstar but a super-duper-mega-superstar. haha. n she was very friendly like she is in real life. if only my dream could become reality...

anyway, i feel so slack n free now cos chem test is over! actually i didnt really bother to study cos i predicted the outcome n just as i expected, study also no use. heck with it. im quite looking forward to 梦拼图 after watching the trailers, more to see kelly n junyang not weilian n xinhui. every thurs, 8.30pm, ch U. hope their acting would be better than those in star idol. those in star idol really cmi, though the bryan is not that bad-looking, the other 2 guys, no looks nor talent, hope they won't stay for long. this show no credibility at all, 100% based on popularity, defies their aim of finding acting talent in the first place. seriously.

i slept from 2am to 1pm which is equals to 11hours! wa. this is like equivalent to almost 3 weekdays worth of sleep. after lunch i bought 'all white chocolate chip' ice cream from gelare, n its super nice! cos i like white choco although its super sweet sometimes but this flavour from gelare was just nice. n their cone was super crispy not like some brands like lao4 hong1 dunno put there how many thousand yrs. speaking of lao hong, this wk i bought 2 things from the bookshop which were laohong, mamee n kinder bueno. lousy. these are the points worth mentioning about today, thats y it's drab. n i can predict tmr already. slp like a pig until noon, lunch, slack n slp more in the afternoon, do gp article, dinner, slack more at night, sleep.zzz. (slack=use pc) even more drab. wat an apt title.

...all i remember was that i blacked out n felt myself falling towards the cement floor. i think i was queuing up for smthg, which i dun rmb wat it was now. well actually i wasnt totally unconscious if not i wouldnt have remembered this whole ordeal n felt the pain when my head n shoulders hit hard against the floor. I felt someone dragging me to the side n laying me down on a matress, then piling on me layers of blanket. they felt so heavy but i was too tired to speak n blacked out once more...

the school allowed us to wear home clothes. dunno y, suddenly, i had this urge to wear dhs sch uniform, but i dun wanna be alone. so i suggested to the rest n they were surprisingly enthu about this idea. 4 outta 5 dunmanians wore their uni, but dunno y, none of the 6 ahs pple wore their uniform. y so reluctant, i know ahs uni not as nice as dhs one la, but..haha..ahs pple dun kill me. Other than dhs n ahs, there were...plmgs,rgs,cchsm and maris uniforms.

Of cos, not forgetting the presents! here's one really touching n memorable.
see it? it's a heart-shaped cake coated with chocolate n strawberries! N here comes the special part. the person who made this was a male! n he made this for every girl in the class! all 20 of us. everybody now, awwwww...so sweet right. i bet all the girls were lost for words n touched from bottom of our hearts when we laid our eyes on this. who would bear to eat it la, (its still lying in my fridge). Thx ricky!
Also, i received one gigantic, AA sunflower n 2 others, not very sure wat they are. But by the time they came to me, they were all flaccid n in desperate need of water. Luckily under the caring hands of my mother, they are now proudly standing tall in my living room.

Today, i learnt a valuable lesson. 4 hours a sleep each night is not enough. Well not for the first time, i got caught for dozing off. but i wasnt alone la. it's just that i was unlucky enough to close my eyes the moment she looked at me. n at the end of the lesson she asked to see me in front of the whole class....so embarassing. Asked the usual qns, 'wat time did u slp last night?' n when i replied, i got the usual response, "so late?!" well, 收听尼克斯的城堡成了我临睡的习惯. unless they change shifts, i expect this habit to remain. So there.

The dog year has arrived! hence my title, woof woof. this entry is not to brag about my angbao money (erm not that i have anything to brag about) or to proclaim my love for chinese new yr, it's to showcase the special angbaos i got this yr, the nicer ones outta the ordinary.

Snoopy the beagle seems to be a popular character making an appearance on angbaos this dog yr. (so does that mean hello kitty will nv make an appearance since there's no cat yr?)
This one is nicer than the previous one cos it shines! dun u just love shiny things. i do. holographic-like deco all around this angbao. its from my mum btw.
ooh this one shines a little too! at the 2006 there? see it. yea. n the dog has a special texture..erm..very high-class texture? dunno how to describe la, pardon my limited vocab.

Other than my shopping trip today, here's another thing im gonna write about.
yep, one of my fave singers, singapore's biggest music export, Stefanie Sun. Unfortunately due to financial constraints, i had to settle for the cheapest tic at 68 bucks. but the view up there aint too bad after all. after all, i viewed 80% of the concert thru my trusty binoculars. haha. so i felt like i was just 10 metres away. Her singing prowess was mind-blowing. totally on beat, perfect pitching complete with her slick dance moves, u would regret not being there. special guests were FIR and tanya chua. she ended the show with her 成名曲, tian hei hei. all good things must come to an end n this is no exception. But i feel that 2 hours is too short. She has more than 80 songs to date but she sang barely 50%, not enough for a die-hard fan like me leh. i want more! but no use, its over. guess i have to satisfy my cravings by listening to her discs then.

P.S. spotted some big-shots at the front rows, incl queen of mediacorp zoe tay n famous celebrity hair-stylist david gan, her former vocal teacher, peter tan, project superstar judge fang zhong hua, and 933 deejays like dennis chew n cruz teng (with his easy-to-spot blonde hair).

The picture says it all. i went swimming today. at bedok swimming complex. i was hoping they would cancel it cos it was raining. but i kinda expected the 手下不留情 teachers wont be so kind. n i was right. 无情的雨打在脸上, still have to swim 30 laps! (breadthwise, but still very tiring k!) almost couldnt get outta the pool cos my arms n legs felt so heavy, the result of forgetting to do warm-ups. still have to walk back to school. im dead beat. zzzzzzz

aw dun u just love the wrapping, i know someone who will. haha. the puzzle was 60 pcs only haha so i completed it in like...15 mins. thats about it for my xmas
